How to Report Your Volunteer Hours
VOLUNTEER HOURS NEEDED FOR GOLDEN APPLE AWARD:
The Golden Apple is awarded to schools with outstanding volunteerism. You as parents and care givers are the only reason Findley Oaks continues to receive this award. The many hours of baking, reading to classes, setting up for school activities, assisting at Book Fair, xeroxing for teachers, stapling Thursday papers, etc. help us to achieve th e award.
If you have forgotten to list your time at the front desk, you may email it. All volunteer times can be emailed to Beth Floyd at bjf7701@comcast.net.
HOW TO REPORT YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS:
As you volunteer for the school, please remember to report your volunteer hours. Remember you are considered a volunteer when you are coming in and helping your child's class in any way, when you are making phone calls concerning an upcoming activity or event associated with the school or PTA, when you are baking for a school event, when you are volunteering on a PTA committee, etc, etc...Your volunteer hours should be reported in the red notebook that is across from the front desk. You will need to include the date of the activity or service, the type of volunteer activity and the number of hours volunteered.
Findley Oaks earns awards for its outstanding volunteer support. So please remember to record your hours of service. Every hour ... makes a difference!
